We asked fans how far the Red Wings will go in the playoffs.

Who has been the team MVP? Henrik Zetterberg, just because of the amount of points (92) and goals (43) he's scored.

Thoughts on Darren McCarty's return? He's more of a symbolic figure.

How far will the Wings go? (Stanley Cup) Finals.

Which team scares you most? San Jose, because of their overall team chemistry.

Are you confident in Dominik Hasek? No. I'm concerned. I loved Hasek in his prime, but now I think he's kind of the wild card.

If they lose in the first round, should Mike Babcock be fired? No.

Scott Parsons

29, Ypsilanti

Who has been the team MVP? Henrik Zetterberg. He's a great all-around player, and he's the backbone of the team.

Thoughts on Darren McCarty's return? He looks slow. He might be past his prime. I hate to say it because I like the guy.

How far will the Wings go? They'll lose to San Jose in the conference finals.

Are you confident in Dominik Hasek? No. I've never been a fan of Hasek. He's too risky of a goalie. I'd much rather have Chris Osgood (in net).

If they lose in the first round, should Mike Babcock be fired? No.

Joe Vukich

29, Ferndale

Who has been the team MVP? Henrik Zetterberg. He has great stick-handling skills, and he's consistent.

Thoughts on Darren McCarty's return? I'm happy for him. It's nice to see him having success.

How far will the Wings go? I'm predicting they'll win the Cup.

Which team scares you most? Anaheim and Colorado both play them tough.

Are you confident in Dominik Hasek? I haven't been too confident, but he can be steady (at times).

If they lose in the first round, should Mike Babcock be fired? No. I think he's done a good job.

Dean Terrian

34, Farmington

Who has been the team MVP? (Henrik Zetterberg) I hear his name called all the time.

Thoughts on Darren McCarty's return? I commend the Red Wings for bringing him back. It shows a sense of family (in the organization).

How far will the Wings go? I don't think they'll get past the first round.

Which team scares you most? New Jersey has always scared me. The Dallas Stars.

Are you confident in Dominik Hasek? Yes. Absolutely.

If they lose in the first round, should Mike Babcock be fired? No. He's done a good job.

Aly's 9 yrs old! OMG

Hi there

Alynne Suida will be 9 tomorrow and today was her birthday party. It was fun. We spent about an hour talking about names for our baby. Some that came up were vincenzo, Andrew, Luke along with many more. It was interesting to say the least. Congratulations to Nicole and John as they are expecting their first child in December! YAY im going to be an aunt again! The names they like are Giovanni (the nick name for that is John) They like Maximus for a boy and for a girl they really like Amilia after Gramma Trotto. I hope they have twins that would be fun. Well hope all is well, Aly and Ryan start softball soon too so i am very excited to go to their games. They are so cute!

my swollen feet and ankles

For those of you that have been concerned about me. I love you and thank you. Here is the technical term for the severe swellingin my feet : pitting oedema. My blood pressure is fine at this time and they are keeping an eye on it. Here is some of the research I found out. Although painful it seems that it is not as dangerous as it looks.

Oedema during Pregnancy

What is it?
How is it recognised?
What is the treatment?
Is oedema dangerous?
Does oedema disappear after delivery?

What is it?

Most people suffer from a some swelling of the ankles and feet towards the end of the day, especially in hot weather. During pregnancy this swelling is usually more pronounced and can result in a condition known as oedema.

The word oedema means swelling, and the vast majority of women suffer from swelling of the ankles and feet at some stage during their pregnancy with no cause for alarm. However, it is one of the classic signs of the potentially serious condition known as pre-eclampsia, and therefore all cases of oedema have to be taken seriously in pregnancy.

How is it recognised?

The major difference between oedema and ordinary swelling of the ankles and feet is its 'pitting 'nature. This basically means that if pressure is applied to an area of oedema with the finger or thumb for 20-30 seconds and then removed, the area being compressed will have a 'pit 'or hollow in it which can be both seen and felt easily. Oedema will be obvious both to the sufferer and to those around her as it usually manifests itself as an unnatural swelling of the ankles and feet, so much so that it may be impossible to even fit into a pair of shoes.

Oedema of the ankles can happen for a number of reasons:
Retention of large amounts of fluid in the body
In very hot weather
Standing for long periods, which allows fluid to ‘pool’ in the lower legs. This is one of the reasons why pregnant woman are constantly being advised to rest with their feet raised up!

What is the treatment?

Most cases of swelling during pregnancy are mild and require no more treatment than plenty of rest at night, preferably with the feet raised. However, severe oedema may not only result in considerable pain and discomfort in the lower leg and ankle, but it may also make the wearing of any type of shoes virtually impossible.

Is oedema dangerous?

Oedema, in itself, is not regarded as being dangerous, but it does constitute an abnormality of pregnancy and therefore should be carefully monitored. If oedema is present along with high blood pressure it may indicate the presence of pre-eclampsia and the patient will be admitted to hospital for observation and treatment.

Does oedema disappear after delivery?

The generalised swelling which is associated with pregnancy almost always disappears shortly after delivery. A great deal of the fluids which are retained in the body during pregnancy are lost after childbirth, so most women are usually pleasantly surprised to find that the swelling of their hands, ankles, feet, neck and face (which is a feature of almost every pregnancy, to a greater or lesser degree) is gone within a matter of days.

treadmill for sale!!

Hello everyone,

again in efforts to make room for our new addition as well as all of the stuff that intails...we need to get rid of yet another large item...

Our Treadmill. As you can see it is being used as a toy box right now, and that doesn't work. it is aproximately 6 years old or so. It has incline, and a digital screen. It works great, needs a little lubrication to eliminate it louder noise, however it works like a charm.

Anyone interested please call my cell 586-206-6822
name your price

Thanks all
